While it is still Dodge’s intention to retire its ever popular Avenger model at some point in the future, the fact remains that the Avenger’s official retirement is still a long way from becoming a reality. Since it was announced in 2014 that the Dodge Avenger would be no more, Dodge have released annually updated versions of the Avenger onto the automotive market. The latest such update will come in the form of the 2018 Dodge Avenger. This special mid-sized Sedan with its rear wheel drive, fantastic performance and upgraded cosmetic proves that there is life in the Dodge Avenger yet.

2018 Dodge Avenger – Design in Interior:

While it is true to say that the new Dodge Avenger is not getting a complete design overhaul, it will nevertheless feature a striking modified aesthetic that will set it apart from its predecessors. The hood is perhaps the most interesting upgrade to this car’s exterior as it features a bigger and more defined front grille, aggressive lines and sharp angled futuristic LED headlights. In addition, the 2018 Dodge Avenger will feature a redesigned bumper, stylish tail lights, chrome 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome exhaust pipes that combine to give this car an inherently masculine look.

In terms of its interior, the 2018 Dodge Avenger combines style and comfort in a relatively spacious cabin. The seats will be made of premium black leather with subtle red accents, the dashboard will also be covered in black leather along with the steering wheel. Moreover, good quality black upholstery in the foot wells and subtle chrome features on the dashboard combine to compliment the masculine vibe of this vehicle’s cabin.

In addition, the driver will have access to a touch screen display featuring climate control, navigation, power steering, satellite radio, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection, USB ports and an audio system with no less than six speakers. The 2018 Dodge Avenger also boasts a significant amount of safety features that include, but are not limited to, ABS, brake assist, passenger airbags, traction control, stability control, cruise control, lane keeping and parking assist. Passengers will also benefit from a smoother ride thanks to this vehicles improved suspension.

2018 Dodge Avenger – Engine Specs and Fuel Economy:

A standard Dodge Avenger will most likely come with a 2.4L inline four-cylinder engine capable of producing 147 hp and a torque of 184 pound feet. This engine will be coupled with a six speed manual transmission and will have a mpg ratio of 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. It is rumoured that an upgraded engine alternative for the 2018 Dodge Avenger will likely come in the form of a 3.6L V6 engine with an output of 283 hp and a torque of 260 pound feet. This engine set up would produce an mpg ratio of 19 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg combined.

2018 Dodge Avenger – Price and Launch Date:

While not confirmed by Dodge, the new Dodge Avenger is likely to cost in the region of between $20,000 and $25,000. The price will vary depending upon whether the customer would like to purchase optional features and upgrades.

Despite lacking an official release date, the Dodge Avenger is expected to be released onto the automotive market in the latter half of 2017.
