2018 Dodge Avenger – Design in Interior:

While it is true to say that the new Dodge Avenger is not getting a complete design overhaul, it will nevertheless feature a striking modified aesthetic that will set it apart from its predecessors. The seats will be made of premium black leather with subtle red accents, the dashboard will also be covered in black leather along with the steering wheel. 2017 Dodge Barracuda Price, Special Features

The long wait for the arrival of the 2017 Dodge Barracuda is almost over. While not an exact replica of the historic Plymouth Barracuda, this particular version of the iconic Barracuda is in many ways a modern interpretation of its iconic Plymouth ancestor. Sporting a hybrid design that blends a modern aesthetic with the classic Plymouth ‘Cuda look, the 2017 Dodge Barracuda is something of a blend between a modern and retro muscle car.

2017 Dodge Barracuda – Special Features:

As already mentioned, the new Dodge Barracuda will feature a unique design that includes traces of the 1971 version of the Plymouth Challenger with a uniquely modern twist. For example; its front fascia has a retro vibe, but it has been made slightly bigger with sharper lines, subtle modern curves and newly shaped LED headlights. Moreover, it is slightly taller than its Plymouth forbear, as well as being a lot shorter in terms of body length. Also due to the fact that it will be largely constructed out of lighter carbon fibre materials, it is estimated to weigh up to 300 lbs lighter than the classic Plymouth ‘Cuda which will not only make it a lot more responsive, but also allow it to reach top speeds in quicker time. Furthermore, the car itself looks a lot more impressive on the eye, as the shell has been designed so that it looks bigger and more masculine. The two exhaust pipes at the rear of this vehicle also help to give it a somewhat aggressive vibe.

The Dodge Barracuda’s interior echoes its unique modern/retro hybrid exterior with a classically designed, but in vogue, cabin. For a start the upholstery will be made of a stylish black fabric and leather combination with metal accents. The easily accessible dashboard will feature a four-inch touchscreen display, satellite radio, navigation and parking assistance systems, a rear view camera and dual zone climate control. It is also worth noting that the sporty interior of the 2017 Dodge Barracuda is complimented with the addition of a uniquely aggressive gear handle which looks similar to a chrome hand brake!

2017 Dodge Barracuda – Engine Options:

The new Dodge Barracuda will come with a standard 6.0L V8 engine capable of generating an impressive 425 hp, and will be linked to a 5 speed manual transmission. However, it is worth mentioning that other engine types will probably be available for use in this particular model such as an alternative standard 6.2L V8 engine capable of generating 700 hp. This engine is rumoured to be linked to a ZF 8 speed transmission. Further engine types include a 3.6 l V6 litre Pentastar, 2.4L Tigershark and a 6.2 L Hellcat. Regardless of the engine type, the 2017 Dodge Barracuda will come complete with a multi-link suspension steering system that will make driving at high speeds easier and potentially safer.

In terms of performance if we accept that the 6.0 L V8 engine is in fact the standard engine of the Dodge Barracuda, then this engine will generate a top speed of 167 mph and will have an mpg ratio of 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.

2018 Dodge Charger Concept, Fresh New Look

Unlike its main competitors, chiefly the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang, the 2018 Dodge Charger is still a long way from entering production. That being said, Dodge are no doubt acutely aware that it is not wise to rush any concept car into the manufacturing stage just to keep up with competition. In many ways muscle coupe enthusiasts should take a lot of positives from the fact that Dodge are in no hurry to clear the 2018 Dodge Charger for production; after all nobody wants a flop.

2018 Dodge Charger – Fresh New Look Promised:

The 2018 Dodge Charger sports a classic muscle car exterior aesthetic with somewhat of a modern twist. Unlike the bloated fat muscle cars of the 1960s/70s, this modern muscle coupe is a lot trimmer, with a streamlined body, toned shape and aggressive lines. Furthermore its diametrically large alloys, stylish hood grilles and bumper all add to the cars masculine and sporty vibe that makes it that much more appealing to its target consumer; young to middle-aged men. Also the inclusion of LED headlights that sit seamlessly into its reshaped hood, give this vehicle a unique style that blends the iconic look of the classic muscle car with a more modern aesthetic.

In terms of its interior, the Dodge Charger features a fashionable and clean-looking cabin that is built as much for its looks and practicality as for its comfort and safety. The seats, fixtures and fittings are all made out of quality materials, mostly a modern combination of quality fabric and leather upholstery with metallic accents. The driver has access to a large touchscreen located on the dashboard that comes complete with a voice controlled operating system and connection to a rear view camera. It is also worth noting that despite being a muscle coupe, the Dodge Charger’s cabin is both spacious and impressively quiet.

2018 Dodge Charger – Engine and Transmission:

While not officially confirmed by Dodge, it is rumoured that the new Dodge Charger will be fitted with a ‘hellcat’ 6.4L supercharged V-8 engine capable of producing an awesome 485 hp. If this is true, this would mean that this muscle coupe would be able to go from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, and would be capable of reaching a top speed of 204 mph. It is worth noting however that other engine variants are also speculated to be equipped under the hood of this vehicle, including a 3.6 L V6 engine and a selection of Hemi V8 units. Nevertheless, regardless of engine type, it is widely believed that this car’s engine would be linked to an automatic eight speed transmission.

It is also worth highlighting that, as of writing, there is no official data as to this vehicle’s mpg ratio. That being said, a quick look back at the 2016 Dodge Charger’s mpg ratio would indicate that the 2018 Dodge Charger’s mpg ratio would be somewhere in the region of 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
